We are delighted you are interested in our 2 & Young 3 Year Old Development Program at Promiseland Christian Preschool.

The focus of this class is to introduce younger children to preschool in a program designed especially for them.

Many children this age are not ready to be potty trained or are just beginning the process. We don’t want to hurry this important developmental step in order for children to start preschool, so toilet training is not a requirement for this class.

Below you will find a list of typical developmental goals for children in this age group. However, we believe each child is a unique creation of God and develops in their own distinctive way.

A $75.00 nonrefundable registration fee is due at time of enrollment.

• Can match and/or name simple shapes: circle, square, triangle, rectangle
• Counts in order to “5”
Motor Skills Creative Development  
• Jumps
• Climbs a ladder and descends a slide
• Walks backward
• Works simple puzzles
• Holds scissors to snip paper
• Holds crayon/pencil to make simple marks (vertical/horizontal/circular lines)
• Begins to identify need and uses toilet with some assistance
• Participates in sensory and art activities
• Expresses self through play
• Participates in music activities
